Funeral Rites For D. J. Riffe At Bethlehem

Dufer James Riffe, 83, of Winnfield, died Wednesday, December 26, 1973 in the
Jackson Parish Hospital in Jonesboro after a long illness.  

He was a retired U. S. Government employee.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Bethlehem Baptist Church with
the Rev. Lee Mack Robertson, the Rev. Hardy Beaubouef , Sr., and the Rev. Carl
Rushing officiating.  Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction
of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include two sons, J. M. Riffe of Winnfield and H. C. Riffe of
Jonesboro; three daughters, Mrs. Claude Delose of Taylor, Mrs. Lois Bullock of
Bossier City, and Mrs. Lonnie Chandler of Winnfield; one brother, J. C. Riffe of
Shreveport; two sisters,  
Mrs. O. H. White of Bernice and Mrs. J. S. Daily of Chidester, Ark.; 17
grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
