A native of Pineville, Riggs was in the timber business. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Audie J. Riggs; one daughter, Mrs. Ann Ingles of Georgetown; five brothers, Clyde Riggs, Oliver Riggs, A. C. Riggs, Otha Prince, and Gerald Riggs, all of Georgetown; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Kees, Mrs. Margaret Hannegan, both of Georgetown, Mrs. Joy Moody, Clarksville, Texas, and Mrs. Sue Rosier of the Jordan Hill Community near Winnfield; stepmother, Mrs. Arch Riggs, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with Rev. William Smith officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
