Gamble Riser

Gamble Riser, 62, Negro employee of logging contractor Louie White, and native
of the Union Hill Community on the Calvin Road, died January 28 after an
illness of about two months.

Last rites were conducted Sunday afternoon, January 31, at the Union Hill
Baptist Church with Rev. Stevenson officiating.  Burial was in the church
cemetery.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Lula Mae Riser of Calvin Road and Hazel
West of Hatfield; one son, Murphy Riser of Calvin Road; one brother, Swanson
Riser, Shreveport; and a sister, Odalee Lewis, Calvin Road.
