Military Funeral For Ecil Rison, Jonesboro

Military funeral services for Ecil Rison, 28, of Jonesboro, a World War II
veteran and husband of the former Blanche Bishop of Winnfield, were conducted
at the Springhill Cemetery on Saturday, March 27, with the Rev. J. W. Buckner,
Baptist pastor of the Jonesboro church, officiating.  Burial was in the
Springhill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Rison died at a hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi, on Wednesday, March 24,
after an illness of more than three years.

He was a native of Jackson Parish and had been a member of the Fellowship
Baptist Church for many years.
