Mrs. Ella Riser Succumbed June 5 In Shreveport

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Riser, 76, wife of Simmie N. Riser, who died in
a Shreveport hospital Saturday, June 5, 1948, were held at the Rose-Neath
Funeral Home Shreveport, Monday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Kane, pastor of the
Southside Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment was in the Forest Park
Cemetery.

Mrs. Riser was the former Miss Ella Underwood of Sikes.  She resided in
Winnfield with her family before moving to Shreveport thirty-some-years ago.

Surviving are her husband, and one daughter, Mrs. S. M. Kessling, of
Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Jackson White, and one brother, Ivy Underwood,
both of Sikes.
