Last Rites For S. M. Riser Held In Shreveport

Last rites for Simmie M. Riser, 78, who died Wednesday in Shreveport, after
many years of ill health, were held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Roseneath
Funeral Home with burial in Forest Park, Shreveport.

A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Riser moved with his family to Shreveport in 
1916.  He was a brother of H. C. Riser, late publisher of the Winn Parish
Enterprise.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Sam Kessling; two sisters, Mrs. E. O. Lites
and Mrs. Ila Raney, all of Shreveport, and three grandsons.  He also leaves
five nieces, two of them whom are Mrs. George Larson and Mary Riser of
Winnfield.
