Wilson, 74, Succumbs; Buried Gorham Cemetery Robert Luther Wilson, 74, Winn native and retired carpenter succumbed in a Winnfield hospital Monday at 11 p.m. Final rites were conducted at the Laurel Heights Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Waynon Mott and Rev. Eugene Langford officiating. Burial was in the Gorhamtown cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were James Austin Jordan, R. M. Thompson, Elton Mixon, Louis LaCase, Cecil Taylor and Virgil Barton. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. R.L. Wilson, Winnfield; a son, R.L. Wilson of Alexandria; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Reed of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Homer Waites of Shreveport; Mrs. Dollie Bery and Mrs. Lottie Newsom both of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Annie Trott, New Orleans; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
