Mrs. Garfelia Roan Is Buried Sunday In Georgetown

Funeral services for Mrs. Garfelia Roan, who died in Shreveport, Thursday,
January 15, of pneumonia, were held in Georgetown Sunday, with interment in
the Georgetown Cemetery.  The Rev. Fogleby had charge of the ceremony.

The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Jim Hobbs of Winnfield and a niece of Mr. W.
L. Smith of Winnfield.  She is survived by two daughters, three sons, and a
great number of grandchildren.  The sons are Jim Roan of Shreveport, Earl and
Perry Roan of Selma, the daughters: Mrs. Lessie Whatley, Georgetown and
Mrs. Pearl Cooper of Pine Bluff, Ark.
