Mrs. Emma Robbins, 80 years and 7 months, passed away at the home of her son, V. C. Robbins, Saturday, July 5, where she had been making her home for the past 10 or 12 years. She was born in Wheaton, Kansas, November 4, 1871, and had resided in Olla, La., before coming to Winnfield to make her home. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Winnfield, and belonged to the Royal Neighbors of America. Before her health prevented her, Mrs. Robbins was very active in church and social work. Besides her own children, she reared a granddaughter, Meda Mae Robbins, who made her home with her in Winnfield. Surviving are five sons, V. C. Robbins, Winnfield; R. R. of Ft. Worth; T. R. of Anchorage, Alaska; H. A. of Grand Prairie, Texas. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Hixson Chapel Sunday at 3 p.m. with Rev. P. M. Caraway and Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating. The remains were carried to Wheaton, Kansas where burial was made on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
