S. 165 Saturday morning before dawn. Dead is Clinton Lee Roberts, 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. "Bud" Roberts, 409 S. Jones Street. Injured were Silas Porter Creel, 20 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Creel, Old Joyce, and Terry Williams, 19, son of Mrs. Aliene Williams, 500 Elliott Street. Creel has a fractured jaw, face cuts, and bruises and Williams has a fractured rib. He was recovering from a serious crash which happened last year and was in another before that, each time a passenger. Driver of the car, Richard B. Green, 19, of Clarence, was released after observation at a Columbia hospital. Officers investigating the crash reported Green lost control of the ar in a curve and it smashed into a tree. Two years ago a Columbia man died in a similar accident at the same tree. Roberts was employed at the Hunt Plywood Plant near Dodson. The four youths left a party here about 11:30 p.m. Saturday and were returning to Monroe when the accident happened. Funeral services for Roberts were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. W. L. Holcomb, Rev. D. __ Callender, and Rev. C. C. Martin officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Billy Plunkett, Rudolph Foster, F. L. Ashley, Gary Whatley, H. L. Allen, Tom Harris, J. W. Cotton, and Henry Hodges. In addition to his parents, Roberts is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Sandifer, Fishville. Out of town relatives attending the funeral included Mrs. Opal Maddox, Annette, and Kim, Jackson, Mrs. Eunvahee Cardwell, Jackson; Mrs. Bernice Ferguson and family of Natchitoches; Mrs. Lawrence Sandifer, Tioga; Mrs. Matthew Sandifer, Dry Prong; Mrs. Ted Chandler, Bentley; Mrs. Bessie Sandifer, Fishville; Mrs. C. E. Sandifer, Epps; A. C. Sandifer and family, Lake Providence; Misses Overa and Nelda Sandifer, Lake Providence, Mrs. Ila Hudson, Fishville; Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joe King and family, Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Roberts, Epps; Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Roberts and daughter, Lake Providence; Mr. and Mrs. Reecie Dan Sandifer and daughter, Bentley; Mr. and Mrs. L. E.
