Victim of Car Accident Buried at Harmony Grove

Funeral services for Eugene Robertson, 39 year old native of the Gaars Mill
Community, who died in a New Orleans hospital Friday, July 22, as a result of
injuries that he incurred in an automobile accident in New Orleans, July 19,
were held at the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Sunday.  Officiating were the
Rev. A. D. Hogan and the Rev. Burniss Parker.  Burial was in the Harmony Grove
Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were Woodrow Dark, Snooks Dark, Linolyn Barlow, Edwin
Gaar, Shelby Gaar, and Wallace Ingles.

Robertson was fatally injured when his '54 Ford collided with a '55 Buick. 
The people were involved in the accident, but Robertson was the only fatality. 
For the past seven years he had been an employee of the Superior Oil Co., of
Houma, La.

The deceased is survived by his father, D. R. Robertson of Gaars Mill; six
brothers, Euliu, Horace, Richard, and Leonard Robertson, all of Gaars Mill;
Marlon of Jonesboro; and Malcolm and Houston of Springhill; three sisters,
Mrs. Lorene Lee of Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Velma Tolar of Houston, Texas; Mrs.
Billie Sue Moore of Shreveport.
