Mrs. Mattie Roberson Laid To Rest Dec. 21 In Gansville Cemetery

Mrs. Mattie Roberson died at her home near Gansville, December 20, 1931. 
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Kitchingham of Columbia. 
Interment was in the Gansville Cemetery.

The deceased was 38 years old, a native of Natchitoches Parish.  Before her
marriage she was Miss Mattie Thompson.  She joined the Baptist Church at
Cypress Creek in 1926 and was a devoted worker in her church.  She was a kind
and affectionate wife, a fond mother and a friend to all.  To know her was to
love her.

Surviving are her husband, Mr. Milton Roberson; five daughters, Lavada, Ottie,
Audie, Clona, and an infant girl; one son, Melvin, one sister, Mrs. Mae
Gilcrease of El Dorado, Ark., and a host of relatives and friends.
