J. Roberts Succumbs At Her Home Here Saturday Afternoon Alice Ann Glendora Roberts, 70 years, 5 months, and 15 days, wife of T. J. Roberts, died at her home here late Saturday afternoon following several months illness. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the family residence with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister presiding. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were O. Trahan, George Harrison, Charlie Felix, E. A. Weeks, F. L. Main, and W. E. Heard. Born in Water Valley, Ky., February 16, 1867, she grew into young womanhood and was married to T. J. Roberts in Poplar Bluff, Mo. They came to Winnfield in 1906 and built their home presently occupied by the family in 1908 and lived there continuously. Mrs. Roberts was not a member of any church, but as Rev. Stokes said in the beautiful ceremony conducted, "she had a church of her own in her home." Surviving the deceased are her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Q. Ozburn. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jordan and baby of El Dorado attended the last rites, Sunday.
