Roberts Is Claimed By Death Monday Morning Thomas Jefferson Roberts, 78, was claimed by death at 7:30 Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Belvia Osborn, in Winnfield. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 o'clock Tuesday morning with Rev. Alwin Stokes in charge. Walsh Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were A. M. Parker, Marion Melton, M. V. Malone, T. J. Williams, Jr., Cecil Earle, and W. B. George. Mr. Roberts moved to Winnfield in 1906 to accept a job with the L. and A. Railroad. He worked for this railroad until 1937 when he retired. His birthplace was Staunton, Virginia, from which town he moved when a very small child to Springfield, mo., and from Missouri to Winnfield. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Belvia Osborn, of Winnfield; one brother, H. P. Roberts of Springfield, mo.; and two sisters Mrs. Addie Campbell of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mrs. Lucy Charles of Dallas, Texas.
