Robbins Funeral Services Held Here Today Vernon C. Robbins, 50, maintenance foreman at Carey Salt Company here, died Wednesday in a local hospital. Funeral services were held today at 3:30 p.m. at the Winnfield Presbyterian Church, with the pastor, Rev. W. R. Gage officiating, assisted by Rev. E. B. Barton. Burial was in New Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Robbins, a veteran of World War II and a resident of Winnfield for 22 years, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lurlene Dickerson Robbins of Winnfield; four brothers, D. W. Robbins of New Orleans, R. R. Robbins of Fort Worth, Texa, H. A. Robbins of Grand Prairie, Texas, and T. R. Robbins, address unknown. Pallbearers were Woodrow Gough, W. H. Cameron, Jesse Thornton, Robert Heard, Howard Parham, Robert Maxey, Roy Miller, Earl Applewhite.
