J. Rockhold, Dies In Jonesboro Samuel Jackson Rockhold, 80, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Matherne, at 2231 Elliott Street. He was a resident of Jonesboro and a former resident of Winnfield. The family moved from here about 1919. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hattie Lindsey Rockhold, Jonesboro; seven sons, Henry J. Rockhold and Curtis J. Rockhold, both of Alexandria; Homer F. Rockhold, Roy E. Rockhold, Manaen Rockhold, and Jack L. Rockhold, all of Jonesboro; William H. Rockhold, Clay; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lanier, Tioga; Mrs. Helen Matherne; Miss Margaret Rockhold, Shreveport; one brother, George Rockhold, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Strong, Jonesboro; Mrs. Annie Everett, Sullendale, Ark.; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were at the Jonesboro Methodist Church, Sunday, November 21, at 3 p.m., with Rev. D_______ officiating. Attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Maxey, Robert Maxey, and Jim Long. The deceased was a building contractor in Jonesboro.
