W. Rodgers, 87, Buried At Mt. Zion Saturday, January 16 Mrs. E. W. Rodgers, 87, of Montgomery died at a Houston, Texas hospital January 14, after an illness of several weeks. Final rites were conducted at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Winn Parish, in the Wheeling Community, January 16, with Southern Funeral Home in charge. Officiating was the Rev. M. L. Davis of Montgomery. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Lessie Garner, of Montgomery, Mrs. Mildred R. Michel of Alexandria, Mrs. T. N. Gilcrease of Shreveport, Mrs. A. L. Figuron, of Lake Charles; three sons, Weymon Rodgers of Vivian, Earl Rodgers of Shreveport, and Ozzro Rodgers of Mongtomery; 10 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Rodgers was a life-long resident of Montgomery and a member of the Eastern Star and the Methodist Church.
