Zion Baptist Church Tuesday, January 3, for Ambrose Roe, 66, farmer and well known citizen of Ward Five, and burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. A life long member of the Baptist church, he was a grandson of the late Rev. John Roe, widely known Baptist minister of Winn Parish and North Louisiana. Long active in civic and public affairs of his community and parish, he was a member of Montgomery Lodge Free and Accepted Masons. He is survived by his wife, one son, two daughters, and three sisters. The ancient graveside ceremonies of the Order were conducted by the Montgomery Lodge of Masons.
