Final Rites For Mrs. Ethel Roland Held At Zion Sun.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Roland, 72, who died at her home on Route 2,
Winnfield, near Tullos, September 26, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Zion
Baptist Church near Georgetown, with burial in the church cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home.  She was a native of Mississippi but had
spent most of her life in this area.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ray Hodges, Georgetown; Mrs. C. H. Tanner,
Wilma, Ala.; Mrs. Cotine McPhearson and Mrs. C. A. Bird, Ferriday; and Mrs.
Ola Parison, Kentwood, La.; five sons, Elmer Gates of Dry Prong, W. M.
Hemphill, of Winnfield, L. D. Hemphill of Clayton, J. W. Hemphill of Ft.
Smith, Ark., Richard Humphries of Mobile, Ala., and a number of grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
