M. Rosier At 11 A.M. Nov. 18 J. M. Rosier, 69, who was injured in a fall from his porch at his home in the Jordan Hill community several months ago, died in a Winnfield hospital at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 1960. The remains are at the Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield. Funeral services will be conducted at the Big Creek Baptist Church, Jordan Hill community, at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, with the Rev. C. C. Martin of Winnfield officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. T. W. Terral of Pineville. Burial will be in Big Creek Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers will be Harvey and Owen Jordan, Sammy Rosier, Hershell and Herman Nugent, and Robert Guin. Mr. Rosier was born in Grant Parish but lived a greater part of his life in the Jordan Hill community. He was a veteran of World War One, a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church, a former member of the Winn Parish School Board, a retired farmer, and a retire employee of the U. S. Forest Service. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Florence Jordan Rosier; one son, Eugene Rosier, Winnfield; three daughters, Mrs. Glenn Guin, Winnfield, Mrs. Earl Sandifer, Pineville, and Mrs. Lloyd Hammett, Pasadena, Calif.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest and Levi Rosier of Pollock; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Duncan of Pollock and Mrs. W. L. Nugent of Colfax.
