Rosier, 65 year old resident of the Jordan Hill Community, were held today, following his death early Wednesday morning. Mr. Rosier, who had suffered from heart trouble for some time, was found dead at his home about 7 a.m. A native of Grant Parish, Mr. Rosier had spent most of his life in the Jordan Hill Community. He served for many years as a member of the Winn Parish Police Jury, was a member of the Zion Baptist Church, and a Veteran of World War One. Mr. Rosier, a former state game ranger in Winn Parish, is survived by his wife, Mrs. S. S. Rosier of Rt. 2; one son, Sammy Rosier of Mer Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Gunter of Baton Rouge and Miss Olivett Rosier of Shreveport; one stepson, Gus Crawford of Winnfield; two grandchildren; three brothers, J. M. Rosier of Winnfield, Earnest Rosier and Levi Rosier of Pollock; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia L. Nugent of Colfax and Mrs. Myrtle Dunn of Pollock. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Merle Bates officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Herman, Hershel, Harold, and Johnny Nugent, Eugene Rosier, Glyn Guin, Kenneth Smith, and Earl Ray Sandiford.
