Winn Parish Enterprise News-American, April 1, 1987
Services for Martha O. Rowell of Winnfield were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the 
chapel of Southern with the Rev. Chester McPherson officiating. Burial was in 
Couley Double Church Cemetery near Winnfield.

Mrs. Rowell, 74 died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 1987, in Humana 
Hospital.

She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church.

Survivors include four sons, A.D. Rowell of Shreveport, J.E. Rowell of 
Keithville, Gerald Rowell of Lake Charles and Glen Rowell of Winnfield; two 
daughters, Mae Richards of Dry Prong and Elsie Gieger of Coushatta; one 
brother, Henry G. Nichols of Winnfield; one sister, Bessie Franklin of 
Alexandria; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Martha was the daughter of Henry T. NICHOLS & Bessie C. MARTIN.  She married 
Theodore ROWELL on 27 Mar 1929 in Winn Parish LA.
