Services for Ted Rowell were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern 
with the Rev. Mack P. Stewart Jr. and James Harston officiating. Burial was in 
Couley Double Church Cemetery near Winnfield.

Rowell, 76, of Winnfield died Tuesday, September 20, 1988, in Veterans 
Administration Medical Center, Shreveport. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Lola Conlay Rowell of Winnfield; two sons, Michael 
Rowell of Dallas, Texas, and Tommy Rowell of Alexandria; two daughters, 
Elizabeth P. O'Brian of Shreveport and Mary Sue Shaddox of Dallas, Texas; four 
stepsons, Merle Monroe of Tacoma, Wash., Elton Monroe of Goldonna and Milton 
Monroe of Alexandria; two stepdaughters, Irene McTyre of Clarence and Aliene 
Mollega of Chalmette; five brothers, Talton Rowell of Bossier City, T.J. 
Rowell and Travis Rowell, both of Saline Lake, Truman Rowell of Weatherford, 
Texas; eight grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren.

Ted was the son of Hassel Melton ROWELL & Belle BATES.
