Funeral Services For Mrs. Rudd, 91, Conducted Feb. 19


Last rites for Mrs. Martha Machen Rudd, 91, one of Winn Parish's oldest
residents and well known citizen of near Calvin, were conducted at the
Bethlehem Baptist Church at 
3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, with the Rev. F. M. York of Calvin and Rev. Joe
Quarles of Jonesboro officiating.  Interment was in the Bethlehem Cemetery
under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rudd passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Charley Canerday, in Calvin.  She had been in ill health for some time. 
Mrs. Rudd was a member of the Cypress Creek Baptist Church, and had been a
resident of Winn Parish almost all her life.

Surviving are one son, J. Pearce Rudd of Tannehill; three daughters, Mrs. John
Anderson of Rt. 4, Winnfield; Mrs. Minnie Cockerham and Mrs. Charley Canerday
of Calvin.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and sixteen great
grandchildren.
