W. H. Roy, 67, Succumbs; Rites Sunday

William H. Roy, 67, of Winnfield, died Friday, August 17, 1973, at his
residence following a short illness.

He was a native of Natchitoches Parish and was employed in the timber
industry.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Southern Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Charles Haley officiating.  Burial was in the Garden of
Memories Cemetery.  

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lillian Roy of Winnfield; three sons, James
Edward Roy and William Glen Roy, both of Winnfield, and Robert Roy of
Lakewood, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Rowell of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.,
and Mrs. A. W. Spangler of Winnfield; a brother, Leon Roy of Natchitoches;
three sisters, Mrs. Mary Everage of Beaumont, Tex., Mrs. Llizzie Kirkham of
Shreveport, and Mrs. Bertha Hernandez of Natchitoches; 17 grandchildren and
two great grandchildren.
