Stone Dies; Burial At Siloam Cemetery Funeral services for Barton W. Stone, 66, who died Sunday morning, July 17, 1966, in his home in New London after a long illness, were held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Bryan-Cothron Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas, with the Rev. O. O. Ervin officiating. Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Siloam Cemetery in Winn Parish, Louisiana, with Rev. Lewis Moffett assisting. He was a native of Louisiana but had lived in Rusk County for the past 35 years. He was a member of the New London Baptist Church. Survivors are his widow, the former Vera Bass of Winnfield; two sons, Barton W. Stone, Jr., of Van Nuys, Calif., and Edward D. Stone of Humble; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Jenkins of Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, Thomas S. Stone of Waveland, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. Josie Dickinson of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Eunice Shannon of Dallas, Mrs., Myrtice Moore of Jonesboro, La., and Miss Mae Stone of Winnfield, La.; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
