Last Rites Held For Mother of Norman Smith

Mrs. Della Smith, 76, mother of Norman Smith of Winnfield, died in a Columbia
hospital Tuesday, June 14, 1960, after a lengthy illness.  Mrs. Smith, a 
native of Jackson parish, had made her home in Winnfield with her son for 25
years.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Beulah Methodist
Church at Choudrant, with Rev. Roy Grant and the Rev. Dell Durand officiating.
Burial was in the Beulah Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Survivors include a son, Norman Smith of Winnfield; two stepsons, Ivey Smith
and L. B. Smith, both of Monroe; one stepdaughter, Mrs. J. R. Hogan of
Choudrant; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Massey and Mrs. J. T. Storey of Choudrant,
and two grandchildren.
