Funeral For Ellis Stewart Held

Funeral services for Ellis J. Stewart, 61, of Dodson, were held at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday at New Hope Methodist Church with the Revs. Lester Carpenter and Willie
Broadway officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Stewart died Friday, March 2, 1973 in a local hospital after a short
illness.  He was a Winn Parish native and was employed in the sawmill
industry.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ronald Whitecotton of Monroe, Mrs.
Grover LaFollette of Dodson, and Mrs. James Medlie of North Carolina; three
sisters, Mrs. Maggie Brewer of Dodson, Mrs. Velma Evans of Joyce, and Mrs.
Lottie King of Monroe; and five grandchildren.
