Funeral Services For Mrs. E. Starnes Held At Hebron

Funeral services for Mrs. Elzie Starnes, 89, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb.
21, in Hebron Baptist Church.  Rev. Lavelle Crain officiated.

Burial was in Adams Cemetery in Caldwell Parish.

Mrs. Starnes died Friday in a Columbia hospital after a long illness.

Survivors include five sons, Alfred Starnes of Columbia, Ed Starnes,
Winnfield, Vernon Starnes, Grayson, Clayton and Clay Starnes, Sikes; one
daughter, Mrs. Cora Newsom of Kelly; two sisters, Mrs. Sara Dunn of Olla and
Mrs. Huber Harper of Tioga; 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
