He was 62. Funeral services were held Monday in Ruston. Shaw was a member of the Ruston City Council and had served there since 1962. He was a leading member of the Lincoln Parish Wildlife Club, one of the strongest wildlife clubs in the state. Shaw died at his camp on Corney Creek apparently of a heart attack. He operated the Ernest Shaw Claims Service in Ruston as an independent adjustor. His regular business day in Winnfield was Tuesday, and he was here last week making calls. Shaw was part of the city administration in Ruston which successfully presented a nine million dollar revenue bond issue for power plant expansion two years ago, and just recently a three million dollar city civic center bond issue, plus the backing of a parish hospital improvement bond issue for three million dollars. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Shaw, former secretary for the Ruston Chamber of Commerce; his son, Larry of Monroe; two brothers, Jack Shaw of Newport News, Va., Emmett Shaw, Ludowici, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Griffin, Ludowici, Ga., and Mrs. Lucille Tanner, Axson, Ga.
