C. Sanders, 80, Succumbs; Rites Held Sun. James C. Sanders, 80, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday at his residence after a short illness. He was a farmer and a native of Red River Parish. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sanders Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. L. G. Shaw officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Stella Sanders of Winnfield; three sons, M. A. Sanders of Texarkana, Tex., Russel Sanders of Laredo, Tex., and Luther Sanders of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Leo Neely, Mrs. Margaret Calamio and Mrs. Grace Barron, all of Shreveport; one brother, Jewell Sanders of Wisner; two sisters, Mrs. Conrad Williams of Coushatta and Mrs. Rowena Carruthers of Liberty, Tex.; three stepsons, Reginald Bonnette of Slidell, J. W. Bonnette of Winnsboro, and W. E. Bonnette of Winnfield; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Frank Clark and Mrs. William Patterson, both of Winnfield, and Mrs. Horace Taylor of Natchitoches, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
