Mrs. Julia Sweat, 86, Succumbs; Rites Held Mon.

Mrs. Julia Margaret Sweat, 86, of Georgetown, died at 4 a.m. Saturday,
February 8, 1969, in a Columbia hospital.

A native of Bolivar, Tenn., Mrs. Sweat was a member of the Georgetown Baptist
Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in the Georgetown Baptist
Church with Rev. Lemmons and Rev. Simon officiating.  Interment, under
direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield, was in Starks
Cemetery.

Survivors include five sons, Earl Sweat, Lavelle Sweat, of Georgetown, Clem
Lee Sweat of Joyce, Leonard Sweat of Silmer, Tenn., Wallace Sweat of
Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Norris, Mrs. Jewel Gray, of Georgetown, Miss Ruth
Gunn of Humble, Texas, one brother, DeLeon Howell of Winnfield.

Five sisters, Mrs. Ivy Melton of Winnfield, Mrs. Bolia Melton, Mrs. Sadie
Warren, of Packton, Mrs. Alma Walton and Mrs. Grace Rosenblath of Shreveport,
34 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
