Martha Wainwright Shaw

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Wainwright Shaw were held at 11 a.m. Friday,
October 23, 1998 at First Methodist Church of Winnfield with the Rev. Barry
Hoekstra officiating.  Burial followed in the Garden of Memories under
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shaw, age 79, of Winnfield, died October 20, 1998 at Schumpert Medical
Center in Shreveport.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church of
Winnfield, a member of the Irene Woods Sunday School Class, a member of United
Methodist Women, and a member of Pine Ridge Country Club.  Mrs. Shaw was a
native of Farmerville, Louisiana, and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by one sister, Mrs. William A. Colquitt of Shreveport;
one brother in law and his wife, Robert and Marilyn Shaw of Winnfield; one
sister in law, Mrs. James Wainwright of Montgomery, Alabama; numerous nieces
and nephews.

Mrs. Shaw was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James A. Wainwright.  Memorials
may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Dickie Heard, Kiah Beville, Sammy Brian, Brian Brewton,
Glenn Parker, and James A. Wainwright III.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. John McElwee and Kelly Peterson.
