Funeral Rites For R. F. Sanders Held Monday

Richard F. Sanders, 75, of Dodson died Saturday, December 12, 1970, at 9:40
p.m. in Winnfield General Hospital.  He was a farmer, a native of Winn
Parish, and a member of Union Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollie Mae Sanders of Dodson, two sons,
Elton Sanders of White Oak, Texas, and Fount Sanders of Winnfield; three
daughters, Mrs. W. B. Centers of Pioneer, Mrs. R. E. Slaughter of Dodson,
and Mrs. Woody McDaniel of West Monroe; four half-brothers, Chester Sanders
of West Monroe, Flarce Sanders of Winnfield, Wilmer Sanders of Dodson, and
Webbie Sanders of Joyce; a sister, Mrs. Nila Taylor of Shreveport; 
two half-sisters, Mrs. Georgie Porter of Winnfield and Mrs. Willie Warner
of Wisner; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Hurricane Grove Baptist
church with Rev. Ed Smith officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery
under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
