T. Sanders To Be Held Today Former Winnfield Resident Dies At Smackover Wednesday Mrs. Emma Sanders, age 72, wife of J. T. Sanders, died at her home in Smackover, Ark., Wednesday night at eleven o'clock following a long illness. Mrs. Sanders and her family formerly resided in Winnfield, where she is well known, being a member of pioneer families of this section, the Boyetts and James. Before her marriage to J. T. Sanders, she was Miss Emma Boyett. Mr. and Mrs. Sanders moved to Smackover about twelve years ago. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, which she became affiliated with in her youth. She was born near Winnfield. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at her home in Smackover and the remains were brought here Thursday afternoon to the home of Mrs. C. M. Sanders, a sister, where it will remain until Friday morning at eleven o'clock at which time final services will be conducted by the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in the Winnfield Cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Sanders are her husband, J. T. Sanders, three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Matthews and Mrs. Alberta Lawn of Smackover, Ark., Mrs. Nettie Black of East Texas, three sons, Iley Sanders of Smackover, Floyd Sanders of Lake Charles and Walter Sanders of Oil city, three brothers, H. L. Boyett, Wesley Boyett, and Jasper Boyett of Winnfield, three sisters, Mrs. C. M. Sanders and Mrs. Minerva McKaskle of Winnfield and Mrs. D. F. Moore of Venice, Fla.
