Sanders Dead Again the Death Angel has visited the Shady Grove Community and claimed as its own one of the leaders that community and a most devout Christian, Mrs. J. C. Sanders. Before her marriage to Mr. Sanders she was Miss Bettie Mixon, daughter of our well known fellow citizen, Mr. W. R. Mixon. Mrs. Sanders was born August 14, 1891 and departed this life in Winnfield June 5th, 1925 while on her way to the sanitarium, after an illness of only five days. She was married to Mr. J. C. Sanders on January 1st, 1912 and to which union were born three sons and three daughters. She is mourned by her husband and six children, four brothers, and four sisters. Her sisters are Mesdames F. O. Lattier of Winnfield, C. D. Golden, T. M. Carson and W. S. Carter of Shady Grove, and her brothers, Messers. Emmit and Lee Mixon of Crowville, Hardy Mixon of Cotton Valley and Jep Mixon of Shady Grove. The remains were laid to rest in the Sanders Cemetery Sunday morning, June 8th, with the Rev. P. M. Caraway of Winnfield. All that medical skill and tender care could do was done for her but He that doeth all things well knew best. We must bow in submission to His will. A truer wife dearer mother and better friend we never knew. We desire to express our deepest sympathy to the bereaved ones. While we all know our loss is her gain, may we truly realize that God is nearer because of the treasure that is now added to Heaven.
