Funeral Services At Joyce For Miss A. Sandifer

Funeral services for Miss Ada Sandifer were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday,
February 11, at her home in Joyce.  Burial was in Sardis Cemetery under
direction of a local funeral home.

Officiating at the service was the Rev. Harrison Cockerham.

Miss Sandifer, 81 years old, was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish.  She was
a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving her are three nephews, Jessie and Hershel Sandifer, and Roscoe Bice,
all of Winnfield; two nieces, Mrs. Susie Rice and Miss Lessie Sandifer, both
of Joyce; and a host of other relatives and friends in Winn Parish and Texas.

Active pallbearers were Roscoe and Charles Bice, Ben Jackson, Owen Taylor,
H. S. Boles, and Essie McDavid.
