Mrs. Sanders, 72, Dies October 12 in Jonesboro Hospital

Services Conducted At Sanders Chapel Saturday Afternoon

Funeral services were held at Sanders Chapel Methodist Church at 2 p.m.
October 13 for Mrs. Betty C. Sanders, 72, who died October 12 in a Jonesboro
hospital.  Rites were conducted by the Rev. Mixon of Goldonna, assisted by
Rev. C. M. Robinson of Winnfield, and interment was under the direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Sanders was born April 16, 1879.  She is
survived by four sons, Carson Sanders of Goldonna, Jack Sanders and Ebb
Sanders of Winnfield, Route Three, and C. E. Sanders of Jonesboro; four
daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Veckham of Horton, La., Mrs. Mela Finch of Vicksburg,
Miss., Mrs. Mattie Lee Byrd of Shreveport, and Ms. Estelle McCoy of
Shreveport; 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
