A. Sanders, 84, Is Buried Nov. 16 In Jonesboro Funeral services for James Albert Sanders, 84, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, in the Jonesboro First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lum Ellis and the Rev. J. D. Kitchingham officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Mr. Sanders died Saturday in a Monroe hospital from injuries he received when struck by an automobile in Jonesboro a few days before. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Roy Sanders, Readhimer; James Sanders, New York City, N. Y.; four daughters, Mrs. May Machen, Jonesboro, Mrs. Pauline Cox and Miss Ruby Sanders of Baton Rouge; Mrs. Maude Dark of Columbia; one brother, Columbus Sanders, Joyce; six half brothers, Richard and Flarce Sanders, both of Dodson, Chester Sanders, Monroe, Dewey Sanders, Bastrop, Webbie Sanders, Winnfield, and Wilma Sanders, Houston, Texas; four half sisters, Mrs. Gladys Porter, Georgetown, Mrs. Tressie Jones, Ruston, Mrs. Willie Warner; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
