E. O. Sappington Succumbs to Long Illness Thursday

Edward O. Sappington, Sr., age 70, died at his home here at 2:30 Thursday
morning, following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist
Church here, conducted by the Rev. W. L. Holcomb, pastor, followed by burial
in the Heard Cemetery near Manifest in LaSalle Parish.

Survivors are his widow, one son, Edward O. Sappington, Jr., three daughters,
Mrs. Haze Thomas, Lafayette, Mrs. Sallie Birchette, New Orleans, and Mrs.
Edith Kull, Denver, Colorado, and two grandchildren.
