Mrs. Ida Sayes, Winn Native, Succumbs May 17

Mrs. Ida Gorham Sayes, 76, of Vick, died at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 1970, in
a Marksville hospital.

She was a native of Winn Parish and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Hannon Sayes of Vick; five sons, Willie Sayes of
Pineville, Byron Sayes of Lake Jackson, Texas, David Sayes of New orleans,
Malcolm O. Sayes of Thibodaux, and Joe R. Sayes of Tylertown, Miss.; two
brothers, Hylton Gorham and Clarence Gorham of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs.
Geneva Townsend and Mrs. Ella Sanders of Winnfield, Mrs. Richard Sanders of
Dodson, and Mrs. G. P. Eagles of Denham Springs; and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Oak Grove Methodist Church.
Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
