L. Scales, 68, Dies; Rites Held At Logansport Jimmy L. Scales, 68, of Winnfield, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 1972 at his residence following a short illness. Mr. Scales was a retired employee of Olinkraft, a native of Texas, a member of the South Winnfield Baptist Church, a Mason, and a Shriner. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Connie Scales of Winnfield; one son, Jimmy L.. Scales, Jr., of Jena; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline McMillan of Shreveport, Mrs. Davis Rusk of Alexandria, Mrs. Connie Slay of Shreveport, and Mrs. Nannie Ruth Mosley of Nacogdoches, Texas; a brother, Orlan Scales of Gregton, Texas; 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Carraway Chapel in Logansport. Rev. Charles Harvey and Rev. M. A. Erbin officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Logansport.
