W. H. Scott, 69 Succumbs

Funeral services for William H. Scott, 69, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the
Southern Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. C. C. Martin, pastor of the Laurel
Heights Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial was in the Garden of Memories
Cemetery.

Mr. Scott, a retired timber contractor, died Tuesday, May 31, 1966, of a heart
attack while enroute to a local hospital.

Surviors are his wife, Mrs. Mable Eagles Scott of Winnfield; two brothers, Sam
Scott of Mt. Olive, Miss., and John Scott of Springfield, Fla.; four sisters,
Mrs. Corine Montgomery of Red Bay, Fla., Mrs. Louise Leavins of Tampa, Fla.,
Mrs. Clara Brannon of Bonifay, Fla., and Mrs. Ruth Alderman of Washington, D.
C. 

Serving as pallbearers were Chester Cox, Troy Lee Frederick, Tommy Frederick,
James Martin, and Bobby McCaskle.
