Gladys Scruggs

Services for Gladys Harrison Engel Scruggs, 79, of Montgomery were held at 2
p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Hollis
officiating.  Burial was in Montgomery Cemetery under direction of Lakeview.

Mrs. Scruggs died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, November 14, 1983 in Memorial Hospital,
Lufkin, Texas.  She was a retired Grant Parish public school teacher and a
native of Montgomery.  She was the widow of J. O. Scruggs.

Survivors include one son, John H. Engel of Sweeny, Texas; one brother, O. P.
Harrison of Montgomery; two grandchildren and one great grandson.
