Final Rites For Brother of Sikes Resident Held

Matt Mathew Scroggins, 48, of Natchez, La., died unexpectedly Sunday at a
local hospital.  He was a World War II veteran.

Funeral services were held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Natchitoches at 10
a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, with Father William J. McElroy officiating.  Burial
was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his father, Mathews Scroggins of Natchez; two sisters, Mrs.
Mary Reppert of Shreveport and Mrs. Thelma Andres of Natchitoches; four
brothers, L. A. Scroggins of Natchez, John W. Scroggins of Flora, and Gaddie
Scroggins of Natchitoches and J. E. Scroggins of Sikes.
