March 20, 1942 Heart Attack Claims Winnfield Resident Sunday

Edwin Self, Sr., aged about 65, succumbed to a heart attack at his
home near Winnfield Sunday morning. Mr. Self, a farmer, had been a
resident of this section for many years and had been in failing
health for some time.

He is survived by one son, Edwin Self, Jr., one daughter, Marcie;
two brothers, Emery Self and Walter Self, both of whom reside in
Missouri; one sister, a resident of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Funeral for the deceased was held Monday afternoon and was conducted
by Rev. Moreland Doughty, Baptist minister of Tullos, assisted by
Rev. Brackman also of Tullos, and Rev. Andrew Foster of Georgetown.
Interment was in the Allen Cemetery near the Self home.
