Military Rites For Sp.5 Bobby Self Held Thurs.

Military funeral services were held Thursday, March 7, for Sp. 5/C Bobby Gene
Self, 23, in Norco Baptist Church.

The youth died Monday, March 4, 1968 from injuries received Sunday night in a
car wreck in Kenner.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Self of Norco; one brother,
John Self; three sisters, Jennie Louise and Joan Marie, of Norco and Mrs.
Richard East of Englewood, Calif.; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Self
of Winnfield and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Moffett of Pollock; two nephews and a
number of uncles and aunts.
