Zion Saturday Mrs. Floyd Shaw, 37 years of age, died suddenly after a short illness enroute to her home at Wheeling from the Pineville hospital Thursday evening, March 18, 1943, at 9:30. Mrs. Shaw, or Annie Lee, as she was better known, was born and reared in the Wheeling Community and was a member of the Mt. Zion M. E. Church for a number of years. She was a very sweet and consecrated Christian woman and to know her was to lover her. She was buried Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with her former pastor, Rev. J. A. Jones, of Goldust, La., conducting the funeral services. Those surviving her are her husband, one daughter, Avonelle, and two sons, Osborn and Vernon; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Cardozier; one sister, Mrs. Irwin Shaw, and two brothers, Jesse Lee and Austin Cardozier. Pallbearers were Ollie Bishop, Elmo Cook, Bill Cook, J. W. Teddlie, W. T. Hammontree, and John William Shaw.
