M. Sharkey Funeral Services Held In Monroe Mrs. B. M. Sharkey (Geneva Allen Sharkey) of Monroe, who has been a patient in Martin Hospital, Winnfield, for several months, passed away early Sunday morning, Aug. 30, 1959. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, Monday at 2 p.m. Services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. H. L. Sampson, assisted by her former pastor, Rev. A. H. Cullen, both of Monroe, each reading a favorite passage of scripture of the deceased. Her favorite sone, "In The Garden", was sung by Mrs. Dee Holyfield (Nelwyn Gilbert Holyfield). Interment was in Memorial Park, Monroe. Mrs. Sharkey was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Monroe, the Order of the Eastern Star, and also the Spanish American War Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Aiken, 306 Hilton Street, Monroe; one brother, W. W. Allen and one sister, Mrs. W. P. Martin, both of Winnfield; three nephews, Dr. Roy Vernon Martin, J. W. Allen, and Warren W. Allen, all of Winnfield; three nieces, Mrs. James Breaux of Baton rouge, Mrs. Harold Swilley of Winnfield, and Mrs. W. H. Cameron, Jr., Harlingen, Texas; nine great nephews and four great nieces.
