She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Central State Hospital. Mrs. Shaw was a Devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was the daughter of the late N. D. Cardozier and the late Pearl (Hammontree) Cardozier. Mrs Shaw was also preceded in death by her husband, Irven Shaw, her son, Jerry R. Shaw, and her daughter, Darlene Roberts Reedy. She is survived by her One Son, Melvin R. Shaw and his wife Johnnie of Montgomery, La. Two Daughters, Dorothy A. Lea and her husband Lawrence of Shreveport, La. Judy Beth Fogger and her husband Lloyd of Montgomery, La. Ten grandchildren Eight great-grandchildren Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Inc., 202 E. Lafayette St., Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, January 9, 2005. Friends may visit with the family at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Montgomery, La. on Monday, January 10, 2005 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM Monday, January 10, 2005 , with Rev. Jimmy Walker, Rev. Helene Walker, and Dr. Ray Teal officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery, La. Grandsons Mel Shaw, David Airhart, Rob Gray, Brant McManus, Eric Skains, Richard Lea, Doug Birch, and Scott Roberts will be serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will Be Marlin Shaw, Leo Shaw, Vernon Shaw, Charles Lunsford, and Walter Bray. Donations may be made In Memory of Mrs. Shaw to the Mt. Zion Church or Cemetery Fund.
